Smart Commute Bruce County offers support to employers and
employees by providing ridesharing as a transportation option for their work commute. Smart Commute
Bruce County participants will have access to customizable resources to encourage walking, cycling, and
carpooling. Employees will also have access to information that helps with understanding the choices and
why carpooling is a great alternative to commuting by yourself throughout Bruce County, and beyond.

The new Smart Commute Tool intended to help residents, employers learn about
their travel options, connect with like-minded people, find walking, cycling and transit mentors, and
arrange carpools.
A variety of key features and functions of the tool supports sustainable commuting and healthy
community
outcomes. These include:
Carpool
Match with other users who are part of the same organization or have
the same destination.
Trip Planner
Match with other users who are looking to travel together via car,
bike or walk.
Trip Tracking
Login and being tracking your travel choices by distance, cost and
emissions savings.
