February is Winter Commute Month, and there’s ‘snow’ better time to warm up with a cool commute! Winter Commute Month celebrates all the ways we can travel in the colder months. With the right gear, sustainable travel shouldn’t stop when the temperature drops!

Whether you choose to walk, cycle, carpool, take transit (or even work from home!), log your trips for a chance to WIN. Every sustainable trip helps to cut emissions, eases traffic congestion, and contributes to cleaner, healthier communities. With Smart Commute’s trip-logging tool, you can easily record your daily trips to work (or school) throughout the month of February. Log your trips, watch your carbon savings add up, and celebrate the difference you’re making one trip at a time.

You could WIN a $100 e-gift card!

Each sustainable commuting trip you log on the Smart Commute Tool counts as 1 entry to a random prize draw of a $100 e-gift card.

How to participate:

• Log your trips on SmartCommute.ca for a chance to WIN a $100 e-gift card.
• Each sustainable commuting trip counts as one (1) entry to the random prize draw.
• New users (welcome!) who create their account between February 1 and 28, 2026, gain two (2) entries to the random prize draw.
• Sustainable trips include walking, running, public transit, carpooling, bicycling, rollerblading, skateboarding or telework (remote work).
• Trips must be taken between February 1 and 28, 2026, and must be logged on the Smart Commute Tool by 11:59pm EST on Friday, March 6, to qualify for the prize draw.
• You can only upload two (2) commute trips per day for the contest.
• A prize draw will be drawn in March or April. You will be notified if you have won through your email address. Please ensure that it is typed correctly and can be contacted.
• Each respective Smart Commute office reserves the right to distribute prizes, subject to change without notice.

Note: Logging a trip on SmartCommute.ca automatically enters you into the Winter Commute Month Contest and winners may choose to opt out of receiving the prize.
