Bike Day 2026

Thank you to everyone who came out to our annual Bike Day for the 7.5 km group ride on June 10! We had an incredible turnout despite the gloomy weather, and it was inspiring to see employees from the Commerce Valley Drive Business Park join the 7.5 km group ride to support sustainable commuting. Your participation made the event a tremendous success and reinforced our community’s growing dedication to active transportation.

A huge thank you to our event host and corporate sponsor, WSP Canada, and the York Regional Police for providing safety tips and leading another safe and successful ride.

We are also grateful to York Region and CAA South Central Ontario for providing valuable cycling resources and information at their on-site booths. Their presence helped raise awareness of sustainable transportation options and local cycling initiatives.

Thank you to prize sponsors Evolution Cycles and CAA South Central Ontario for supporting the event! Our gratitude is also extended to York Region for providing wonderful Bike Month t-shirts for participants.

A sincere thank you to Mayor Frank Scarpitti for his support, and Councillor Ritch Lau of the City of Markham, who presented commemorative certificates to our event sponsors and SCMRH in recognition of their efforts to promote active transportation and foster a bike-friendly community.
